New free winter-themed event coming to Ponoka on Feb. 7

The Town of Ponoka is introducing a new family-friendly event this February.
The community is invited to stop by for a Winter Day in the Park on Feb. 7 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Lions Centennial Park.
“This fun family event brings a new attraction to our community during the winter months. Winter Day in the Park celebrates community spirit and outdoor recreation. It showcases just one of the many winter activities that make our town your go-to winter destination,” said Mayor Kevin Ferguson in a media release.
The free event will include winter-themed activities such as an ice carving demonstration and a little chippers ice carving station, where children can learn how to create their own small ice carving.
