It is with heavy hearts to announce the passing of Muriel Brown on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the age of 99 years. Muriel was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, on Monday, July 12, 1926, and came to Victoria, British Columbia, at a young age and eventually settling in Red Deer, Alberta. Muriel Brown is survived by her loving partner, Bert Wever. Muriel was a devoted mother to her son, Norman Brown (Sue); and her daughters, Sandi Brown (David), and Joanne DeWind (Peter). She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Jennifer (Steve), Jody, Nicole, Devin, Corey (Rachelle); her granddaughter-in-law, Charlene; and her great-grand children, Chase, Carson, Hanna, Casandra, Coltan, Ava, Paisley, and Tiana. Muriel was predeceased by her former husband, Russell Brown; her daughter-in-law, Penny Brown; and her grandson, Shawn Dickson. Muriel will be remembered as a kind and loving beautiful woman whose greatest joy was her family and pets. Muriel was a very active lady and loved dancing, and she was in the work force as a secretary till the age of 83 and had a very full life. Muriel enjoyed camping with her family and spent at the Fairmont Resort in British Columbia. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
