Carmel Elizabeth Mousseau (nee Scissons) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at the age of 88 years. She was born on May 27, 1937. Carmel will be lovingly remembered by son, Larry (Theresa Victoor) and grand children, Renee, Elizabeth and Adam; son, David (Sandra Dransfield) and daughter, Pauline (Edward Van Gils). Carmel is survived by her brother, Leo Scissons and many special nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by parents, Lawrence and Rose Mary (Carter) Scissons; loving husband, Bartley Mousseau (2013); her sisters, Ursula (2008), Rose (2022), Edna (2019); sister in law, Elaine (2019), and brothers in law, Edmond Mc Kenny, Alex Nunes and Dave Rau. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in honour of Carmel at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 6 McMillan Avenue, Red Deer, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. If desired, memorial donations may be made directly to a charity of the donor’s choice.
