It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Timothy Jay Morris on December 7, 2025 at the age of 64 years.
Tim was born to Fred and Marjorie Morris on October 23, 1961 in Cobourg, Ontario. He carried through life an enduring sense of humour, always ready with a laugh and an easy conversation for everyone around him. His outgoing personality and strong work ethic helped him excel in a long and varied sales career across the newspaper, vehicle, television and radio industries. For many years, Tim was also a dedicated single father to his three children. He had countless passions that brought him joy: all things Las Vegas, NASCAR, vintage cars, karaoke, playing crib and golfing, travelling to warmer climates, and cheering on the Red Deer Rebels as well as the Oilers and the Flames. Tim’s enthusiasm, warmth, and humour made him a cherished presence wherever he went.
Tim is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Annette (Abrassart) and his children Angelina (Barrington) Senior, Jadene Morris (Darien) and Derek and also his treasured grandchildren Andrew Becker, Kierra Hill, Peyton and Quincey Senior. He also leaves behind his stepchildren Todd Elgert and Lisa Amos (Don) and Lisa’s children Emma Duckworth, Deva, Edyn, and Nova Amos. Tim is further survived by his brothers, Wayne (Pauline) of Kitchener, Ontario and Owen (Cathy) of Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. He was predeceased by his parents and a baby sister, Linda Lee.
He will be deeply missed by numerous friends and co-workers as well as by the caregivers at Villa Marie to whom he fully endeared himself. The family is profoundly grateful for the compassionate and loving care he received there for the last three years.
A celebration of life will be held in Red Deer in the spring to honour Tim’s vibrant life and the joy he brought to so many.
Condolences to Tim’s family may be emailed to meaningful@telus.net. Please indicate “Tim Morris” in the subject line.
