Ponoka releases annual Christmas lights tour map

Town of Ponoka PSA — Citizens can once again enjoy Ponoka’s annual Christmas Lights Tour. The tour showcases and celebrates festively decorated homes and yards throughout the community.

The tour map is available on the Town of Ponoka’s website at Ponoka.ca/p/christmas-in-ponoka. Paper copies are also available at the Ponoka Aquaplex, Ponoka Arena Complex and at the Town Office on the second floor of the Ponoka Civic Centre.

NEW! Best Decorated Home Contest

Participate in the Town’s best decorated home contest. Take a photo of your festively decorated home and send it to communications@ponoka.ca by Sunday, December 7. Voting will happen on the Town of Ponoka’s Facebook page from December 8 to 29. The winning home will be announced on Tuesday, December 30 and awarded a prize.

The Town of Ponoka has teamed up with the Wheelchair Van Society to offer a seniors Christmas lights bustour of festively decorated homes around Ponoka. The tour will run on Wednesday, December 17, with a possible additional date on December 18 if the first tour fills up. Please call Jenn Brown at 403-913-4574 by Friday, December 12 to book your spot on the van. When registering, please provide your home location for pickup, or indicate if you can meet at the Ponoka Arena Complex. The cost for the tour is $5 per person. Pickup will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Light Display at Lions Centennial Park The Lions Centennial Park

Christmas light display will be one of the stops included in Ponoka’s Christmas Lights Tour. The Christmas light display at Lions Centennial Park is scheduled to begin in the coming days. More details to come.
