Mrs. Sonja Ray (nee Bondruk) of Delburne, Alberta, passed away at the Didsbury District Health Services on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at the age of 84 years. Sonja will be remembered as a warm kind woman, who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She liked to venture out for a good meal and good company wherever she went. Classic country music was her constant companion, filling her days with the songs she cherished most. Sonja also enjoyed spending quiet moments with her word search puzzles, a pastime that brought her comfort and calm. Sonja’s greatest pride and love were her family.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Carrie of Crossfield, Alberta and her granddaughter Riika, who will forever hold her memory close. Sonja’s presence, smile, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sonja was predeceased by her husband Bill, and her son’s Brad and Brent Ray.

A Celebration of Sonja’s Life will take place in the late spring early summer when all who loved her are able to gather.
