April 2, 1955 – November 15, 2025

With profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of Dan Jorsvick in his home, on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the age of 70 years.

Dan was born in Olds, Alberta to parents, Ken and Betty Jorsvick. From a young age Dan enjoyed and embraced sports. He was a dedicated team player and formed lifelong friendships along the way.

Dan had a genuine enthusiasm for all aspects of farming and agriculture. He was always available to help family, friends, and neighbours.

Dan was known for his contagious smile, laugh, and generous kindness. All who knew him will remember him fondly as a master organizer and negotiator. Dan was a devoted and loving husband to his wife Connie for 47 years. They shared the same passion for their farm west of Olds and enjoyed the beautiful mountain view everyday. Together they welcomed their daughter Karen in 1990. Dan’s life was further enriched to his delight, when in 2023, grandson Branch Wilkes joined their family.

Dan is survived by his loving wife, Connie; daughter, Karen (Wade Wilkes); grandson, Branch Wilkes; mother, Betty; brother, Curt (Barb Widmer); nephews, Colin (Jacqueline) Jorsvick, Darcy (Katelyn) Jorsvick; great-nephew, Theo Jorsvick, and many relatives and friends. Dan was predeceased by his father, Ken Jorsvick in 1991.

Although Dan left us far too soon, he helped make better the lives of many who will live on long after him. He will forever be missed.

A Celebration of Dan’s Life was held at Paterson Hall (2101 – 27th Ave, Bowden, Alberta) on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
