With heavy hearts, we share that our dear father, grandfather, brother and uncle James Michael Knisely passed away on November 14, 2025.

Our family is deeply saddened, but we take comfort knowing he’s now at peace. We ask that you keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Unfortunately, he fell ill and was unable to recover from an infection. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Jeff (Ashley) grandsons Mason and Hudson; son, Darrin; daughter, Melissa (Mike), grandchildren Madison, Mackenzie and Maddox.  His siblings; Doug (Doreen), Barb, Andrew (Patty), Ian (Ingrid) Bill (Donnelda), David (Patti), Edith (Duane), Anna, Dean (Kathy), Wilma (Tony), Cheryl (Jason). His in-laws Annette, Daniel (Irina) and David (Sylvianne) along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In his death he is reunited with his wife, Barbara, his parents, Donald and Marion, his mother and father-in-law, Leonie and Ferdinand, and his brothers in law, Al and Jeff.

He will be greatly missed. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm at Sunnybrook United Church in Red Deer AB on Friday, November 28, 2025. Interment will take place at a later date.
