Doll
1933 – 2025
Gertrude (“Trudy”) Doll of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 14th at the age of 92, surrounded by her loving family.
Trudy was one of eight children and grew up on the family farm in Bluesky, Alberta, where she learned the value of hard work, resilience, and the deep importance of faith and family.
In 1954, Trudy married Raymond Doll. Together they built a beautiful and full life, sharing nearly 57 years of marriage. Their life was defined by devotion, partnership, and a quiet, steady love.
Trudy and Raymond raised five children:
Bernice (Craig) Ralston, Karen (Stan) Dilworth, Yvonne (Dennis) Hanson, Brian (Penny Samuels) Doll, and Doug (Cecilia) Doll. Her family grew to include 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, each one a cherished part of her world and a reflection of her legacy.
Trudy was deeply rooted in her Catholic faith. Her devotion guided the way she lived, loved, and served others. She found strength and comfort in prayer, and her unwavering belief shaped her as a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Trudy will be remembered for her gentle spirit, strength, humour, and quiet, steady way of showing love. She leaves behind a family who will forever hold her in their hearts.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 28th at St. Mary’s Parish, 6 McMillan Ave, Red Deer, Alberta starting at 11:00am.
