Red Deer RCMP dismantle drug trafficking operation
Red Deer RCMP have charged one male and dismantled a drug trafficking operation following an investigation this month.
In early November 2025, Red Deer RCMP say they received information of a male who was trafficking drugs in the City of Red Deer. Red Deer RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) Priority Crimes Team took over the investigation, which led to police obtaining a search warrant for the suspect’s room at a local hotel in the South Hill neighbourhood.
On Nov. 12, 2025, Red Deer RCMP GIS Priority Crimes Team, with the assistance of Red Deer RCMP Crime Reduction Team (CRT), General Duty, Police Dog Services (PDS), and Alberta RCMP Emergency Response Team (ERT), executed the search warrant. As a result, police seized 341 grams of fentanyl and $2190 in Canadian currency.
