Mr. Lee Sparks of Elnora, Alberta passed away at home on October 17, 2025 at the age of 63 years. Lee was born on April 13, 1962 at the Innisfail Hospital to Allan and Joyce Sparks. He grew up east of Innisfail farming with his father. He got his first job at Johns Manville before he started his lifelong career of grain buying at Cargill for more than thirty years.

Lee started his love for hockey and softball with his father as his coach.

Lee was a man who found joy in the simple things in life, he loved the outdoors and found peace near the water. Some of his children’s fondest memories are of the times spent together at the trout pond, camping attending rodeos and most of all making memories laughing around the fire.

Lee will be lovingly remembered by his two children, Colton (Shaylen) of Blackfalds, and Colbee (James) of Calgary, his mother, Joyce Sparks of Red Deer County, his brother, Wayne (Lorrie) of Red Deer County, his sister Carolyn (Wayne) of Bowden, his brother, Brad (Carla) of Bowden and their children, his grandchildren, Axten, Emery, Rylen and Kayce. Lee was predeceased by his father, Allan Sparks, September 2025. Lee had a way of making you feel at home, no matter where you were. A Celebration of Lee’s life was held at the Elnora Hotel on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. Interment to took place at the knee Hill Valley. Divide Cemetery. 26382 26408 Township Rd. 350 at 11 AM.
