LUNDBERG, Dolores
July 23, 1946 – October 13, 2025
Dolores Ann (Heald) Lundberg, 79, of Red Deer, passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospice on October 13, 2025, after a brave two-year battle with cancer.
She was predeceased by her mother, Elsie (Giddings) Heald; her father, Elmer Heald; and her husband of 53 years, Earle Lundberg. She is survived and will be deeply missed by her children, Mike Lundberg and Kristina Lundberg, both of Edmonton; her brothers, Larry Heald, of Calgary, and Jim Heald, of Comox Valley, BC; and her sister, Sheila Crispin, of Strathmore.
In 1969, Dolores graduated from the University of Alberta with a BA in psychology. She then worked in the personnel department with the TD Bank in Edmonton and, after some years raising her children, worked at the Dawe Branch of the Red Deer Public Library for 25 years. She was an avid reader; enjoyed watching reality TV, figure skating, golf, and the Olympics; and was known for her kindness, wit, and curiosity about a wide range of topics.
The family would like to thank all the amazing health-care workers who cared for Dolores in recent years, at the Central Alberta Cancer Centre, through home care, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre (particularly, Unit 32), and at the Red Deer Hospice.
At Dolores’s request, no funeral will be held. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Red Deer Hospice Society.
