Ronald Marvin “Ron” Posein, age 75, of Winfield, Alberta, passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on October 13, 2025, at 10:00 p.m.

Born on July 17, 1950, in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Ron was the beloved son of the late August and Mary Posein.

Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Lorraine (Lori); his sons John and Shane; his daughter Tara Cole (Derek); and his cherished grandchildren Britney Cole (Matt) and Dale Cole (Arika). He will also be fondly remembered by extended family and many friends who were touched by his kindness and strength.

Ron was known for his gentle nature, quick wit, and deep love for his family. He faced life with quiet determination and a warm heart, always putting others before himself. Those who knew Ron will remember his sense of humor, his willingness to lend a hand, and the pride he took in his family and community.

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held in the summer of 2026, when family and friends can gather to share memories and honor his life together. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron’s memory may be made to the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, whose care and compassion meant so much to the family, their exceptional care, compassion, and support during Ron’s final days.
