Stanley Arthur Collier

Stanley Arthur Collier of Red Deer County AB passed away at the Red Deer Hospice on October 10, 2025, at the age of 86 years.
Stan was born in Red Deer and raised on the family farm in the Edwell District, where he lived his entire life. At the age of 70, Stan was recognized with a Century Farm Award for the Collier farm, which had been in the family and actively farmed for over 100 years. He truly enjoyed his work.
Stan received his education at Edwell School, LTCHS in Red Deer, and Olds College of Agriculture, graduating with top marks in his class. He kept meticulous records of machinery and vehicle maintenance, crops planted, and cattle fed.
He served on the REA (EQUS) Board of Directors and was a long-time member of Bethany Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as a supporter and treasurer for 40 years. He was also treasurer of Camp Little Red for approximately 23 years.
Stan is survived by his brother Ted Collier and sister Marilyn (Len), as well as three nephews: Lyle, Brian, and Peter. He was predeceased by his parents, Cecil and Margaret Collier; brother Dr. Gordon Collier, and sister Dorothy.
A memorial service will be held at the Bethany Baptist Church, 3901 – 44 St., Red Deer AB on November 7, 2025 at 1:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Camp Little Red, RR 1 Bowden AB T0M 0K0 or to the Red Deer Hospice Society, 99 – Arnot Ave, Red Deer AB T4R 3S6.
