ARDEN, Levon

1995 – 2025

Levon Arden was born on December 16, 1995, in Halifax. He moved to Alberta at the age of two. After spending a year in Wetaskiwin, he spent the rest of his childhood in Red Deer. Levon graduated with honours from Hunting Hills High School in 2014, where he enjoyed winning two football championships. He completed a semester of Business at Red Deer College, which helped him succeed in selling cars in Red Deer for the following year. Levon then moved to Calgary to study actuarial science at the University of Calgary ‘U of C’. While there, he took a study abroad semester in Australia, which turned out to be 18 months filled with shenanigans, adventures, and the formation of lifelong friendships. He graduated from U of C in 2022 and worked briefly in Calgary before moving to Toronto to pursue his career as an actuary. Toronto was a time of working hard and playing hard, and of course more travelling adventures. Levon was always working on becoming a better version of himself. He encountered challenges over the years but he also always had plans to overcome them. Many friends have contacted us to say how he had helped them when they were struggling. He loved to do this. He was so much fun to be around. He really valued friends and family deeply. Levon passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025 at the age of 29 years. The hole he has left in our hearts and our lives will never be filled. The tragedy of his passing will stay with us always – but we will try our best to live lives full of love and adventure as he would have wanted us to do. Levon is lovingly remembered by his parents, Deb and Dave; sister, Isabelle as well as grandmother, Bertha Ford; and numerous relatives and close friends. A Celebration of Levon’s Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Levon’s honor may be made directly to the Central Alberta Humane Society at www.cuhumanesociety.com.
