Alice "Fay" Paisley (née Coomber)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alice “Fay” Paisley (née Coomber). Born on December 8, 1937, in Deloraine, Manitoba. Fay passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 4, 2025 at the age of 87, with her daughter Gayle by her side. She was a beloved wife, mother, partner, and grandmother, who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Fay was predeceased by her loving husband of 40 years, William “Bill” Paisley, who passed away in 1996. Together, they spent many years traveling the country in their semi and wide-load trucks, creating a lifetime of memories on the open road. Later in life, she found a loving companion in Donald Kilburn, with whom she shared 24 happy years before his passing in (2024)
A creative and artistic spirit with a sharp mind, Fay had a passion for an array of crafts, puzzles, and crosswords. She also dedicated many years to serving as a Girl Guide leader, a role she cherished.
She was predeceased by her parents, Victor James (1974) and Ella Mae (2002)Coomber ; her brother, Robert “Bob” Coomber (1998); sons, Boyd William Paisley (2004) and Kenneth Victor Paisley (1999); daughter, Joy Marie Sullivan (2019); and daughter-in-law, Louise Milmine (2017).
Fay is survived by her three daughters:
• Gayle (Pat) Leasak, Daphne (Don) Bilous both of Red Deer, AB
• Rhonda (Paul) Weegar of Calgary, AB
• Son in law Joe Sullivan of Cambridge, ON
She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren along with brothers Jim (Merilyn) Coomber and Don (Myra) Coomber
Fay’s legacy will live on through her family.
