Springbrook woman dies in crash near Airdrie

A 35-year-old woman from Springbrook is deceased after a motor vehicle collision in Rocky View County.

Airdrie RCMP say it was about 9 p.m. on Oct. 7 when they were called to assist EMS with a head-on collision at Highway 566 and Range Road 283 — about 20 km southeast of Airdrie.

Investigation revealed that an Isuzu box truck was headed east on Highway 566 when a black Dodge Ram crested the hill going west, and crossed into the eastbound lane.

The vehicles collided, causing the Dodge to roll into the ditch, while the Isuzu ended up on its side.

The driver of the Dodge was the Springbrook woman, who was declared deceased on scene.
