TEED, Gordon
1959 – 2025
It is with immense sadness and a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Gordon ‘Gordie, Gord, Gordo’ James Teed of Red Deer, Alberta at home with his partner, Kim and their puppy, Georgie by his side on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the age of 66 years. In his retirement, Gord was an avid gardener, he could usually be found in his beautiful yard (a cool one in hand) giving and receiving gardening tips from one of his many neighbors and friends. He was very well-liked and knew many of the Rosedale neighbors, often referred to as the “Mayor” of our area! Not sure how we will all know the forecast now!! Gord loved his Yorkies and is very likely already walking Lil’one and Paco around the ‘hood’. Gord was born in 1959 in Delisle, Saskatchewan and was the fourth son of George & Leona and was raised in Peace River, Alberta. He made his way to Red Deer, Alberta, around the age of twenty, where he eventually worked hauling feed for Triple M and soon purchased trucks and became his own boss, retiring in 2005. He is lovingly remembered by his partner, Kim Pickett of thirty-five years and their puppy, Georgie. Gord will also be deeply missed by his mother, Leona Teed, his sister, Vikki (Brian) Tease, his brothers, Dan (Sandra), John (Bonnie), as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family. Gordon was predeceased by his father, George Teed, his brother, Tom, his four-legged loves, Lil’one & Paco, and several aunts and uncles. Gordon and I (Kim) would like to acknowledge a few friends who were very present and helpful in the last few months of his illness, Warren and Faye Ganes, Vikki Tease, Amanda and Ethan Campbell and Richard and Dawn Hagel. Your presence hasn’t gone unnoticed. A Public Viewing was held at Parkland Funeral Home on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. A small gathering of family and friends will be announced at a later date. If desired, memorial Donations may be made to the Humane Society at cahumane.ca. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
