We regret to announce the passing of Theresa Michelle Smeenk of Blackfalds, Alberta. Born and raised in Glendale, Nova Scotia, Michelle passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the age of 40 years. Michelle was born in Glendale, Nova Scotia, on Monday, October 15, 1984, to Billy and Norma (née Pitre). She attended school in Port Hawkesbury and later moved to Alberta, where she worked as a waitress and cook in various restaurants. Michelle will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Billy and Norma (née Pitre); her brothers, Allan and Norm; and her sister, Julia Bernice (née Smeenk). She was predeceased by her grandparents, William, Wilamaria, Edmond, and Claire. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
