It is with great sadness that the family of Martiné Marie Burgess (née Chamberland) announce her passing on September 6, 2025, at the age of 68.

Martiné was born on January 29, 1957, in Longueuil, Quebec. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 35 years, Art Burgess. She is also fondly remembered by her grandchildren, William, Ryan, Alexander, and Maximus, as well as by her many nieces, nephews, siblings, and extended family.

Martiné was predeceased by her sister, Nicole Chamberland.

Those who knew Martiné will remember her as a dynamic individual who loved to entertain, took great pride in her home, and cherished caring for her friends and family. She also had a passion for travel, exploring the world alongside the love of her life, Art. Her warmth, energy, and generosity touched all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (6 McMillan Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta) on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.. Interment will follow at Alto Reste Cemetery, with a reception at the church.
