Randall “Randy”, Richard MacIntosh of Carstairs, Alberta passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at Didsbury Memorial Hospital (Acute Care) on Friday, August 22, 2025 at the age of 67 years.
Born on March 26, 1958, he was the son of the late Winnifred Stevens and Robert MacIntosh.
Randy worked hard as a cribber for the majority of his life, he loved his family, friends, camping, hockey and his good ol’ Lucky beer.
Randy is lovingly remembered by his Wife, Kari and his children, Stacey Ley (Scott) and their children, Christopher & Jesse, Stephen MacIntosh (Jessica) and their children, Mathew, Joseph, Anthony, Parker & Raymond, Melissa “Missy” and her children, Katherine & Vincent, Lindsay Baiko and her children, Caliden, Noah & Gabriel, Melissa Slade (Justin) and their children, Oliver & Liliana. We will all miss him very much!
Randy is also survived by his siblings, Robert MacIntosh, David MacIntosh (Eliza), Karen Albert (Norbert), Ronald MacIntosh, Elizabeth MacIntosh, Danny MacInstosh (Gladys), Wendy Cleghorn (Charlie), Ricky MacIntosh and Brenda Williams (Evan) as well as many extended family members whom he loved dearly.
In addition to his parents, Randy was predeceased by brothers, Allen MacIntosh, Donald MacIntosh (Cathy) and sisters, Helen Pierce, Linda Cleghorn and baby sister, Peggy MacIntosh as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Didsbury Memorial Hospital whose care was nothing short of exceptional. The nurses and doctors went above and beyond to care for Randy in his final days, offering their help and carrying on jokes with him, we appreciate it beyond words. We would also like to give thanks to pastor Colin Creighton of the Zion Church for spending time with Randy, sharing stories and giving him support along his journey as well as his final blessing that allowed him to pass peacefully. Thank you to all of his beloved friends and family that visited him and kept him company during his time in the Hospital.
As per Randy’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. The family will host a Celebration of Life at the Carstairs Community Hall on Saturday, October 11th, 2025, from 12-4pm, please join us for some light snacks, refreshments (B.Y.O.B.) and stories.
