Armenus Junior "Bean" Myles
Posted Sep 4, 2025 | 2:31 PM

Bean was born in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, to Armenus and Mildred Miles on February 5th, 1959. He attended Horton High School.
At 19, he was given the opportunity to move to Alberta and begin work in the oil patch—a decision that would change the course of his life. Over the years, he worked with several different companies as a Production Operator, including Mobil Oil and many others. He was always very proud of his career and the accomplishments that came with it.
A trip to Florida led him to meet the love of his life, Lolly (Holsen). They were married in 1990 and together they built a life filled with love, pride, and joy. His greatest treasures were his two children, April and Ryan, and later his granddaughter, Nova, whom he adored and loved to laugh and be silly with.
Bean passed away on August 22nd, 2025, after a brief and unexpected illness. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Laurel “Lolly” (Holsen) Myles; son Ryan A. Myles (Emma Fenton); daughter April M. Frampton (Brendon); grandchild Nova Dodd; brothers Floyd and Dimock Myles; sisters Edna Aker, Joyce Hum, Linda Lockhart, and Peggy Kelly Myles; and by many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Armenus Miles and Mildred Golar Miles; several siblings, and many other cherished family members.
Forever Loved, Forever Missed.
A celebration of Bean’s life will be held at the Westpark Church of the Nazarene, 3920, 57 Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta, on September 10th, 2025 at 2:00 PM.
