Nellie Yeo (nee Dean) November 24, 1921 – August 30, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the loss of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother at the age of 103 years.

Nellie Yeo (nee Dean)was born in Storrington, England in 1921. She grew up and did her part for the war effort by joining the Land Army. She met our Dad (Harold Yeo of the Canadian Army), and married in 1945.

She came to Canada in 1946, landing at Pier 21 in Halifax. She travelled by rail to join Dad in Winnipeg, Manitoba. There they started a wonderful life together. They retired in Red Deer, Alberta.

She leaves a legacy of love and kindness. Nellie was predeceased by her loving husband in 1998.

She leaves behind her son George (Bev), daughter Shirley (Bob) and son Brian (Tess). She also leaves grand-children Lana, Terrie, Lisa and Derek, as well as eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

A special thanks to those who cared for her at Revera and at the Red Deer Hospital.

Mum’s hobbies were gardening, dancing at the Legion, sewing and knitting. But, most of all, her hobby was loving her family.

We will miss you, Mum, but we know that you will be dancing with Dad to “Moonlight and Roses”.
