MILLER, Leroy Alvin ‘Al’
1932 – 2025
Dad was a man of few words, but many strong convictions. He lived a long and productive life. Dad was 92 years old and was married to our mom, his soulmate Ethel, for 72 years. Dad was known for his storytelling. He loved to talk about the many adventures he had growing up on the farm or with his buddies in the “Oil Patch.” He was proud of his two sons and two daughters, offering encouragement and suggestions along the way — sometimes diplomatically, sometimes not, but always with the best intent. Dad was never one to turn down the offer of a friendly poker game or a visit to the casino. Mom and Dad enjoyed many, many games of golf together over the years, both playing until fairly recently. One of their favourite places to be at their condo in Phoenix, Arizona, where they made many lifelong friends. Dad had a good run. In the end, he simply ran out of steam. He died peacefully with Mom by his side. He will be missed by Mom, his children, his grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren. Godspeed, Pops. May God ensure your journey is swift and successful.
