Elizabeth Ellen (Beth) Thorsen

It is with deep sadness that the family announces that Elizabeth Ellen (Beth) Thorsen, 58, of Olds, Alberta, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, Alberta, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on June 17, 1967, in Calgary, Alberta, Beth was the beloved daughter of Bill MacPherson and Shirley MacPherson (née Ross).
Beth was known for her warm heart, quick wit, and unwavering kindness. She had a remarkable ability to make those around her feel valued and loved, always offering a listening ear and a comforting word.
She found joy in gardening, her love of farming, spending time with her grandchildren, and sharing stories over coffee with friends. A devoted animal lover, she adored her cats and dog. Her creativity, love of nature, passion for amateur photography, and deep devotion to her family were at the heart of her life.
Beth is survived by her devoted husband 33 years, Ron Thorsen; her daughter, Kyrin Thorsen (Garnett); and her cherished grandchildren, Parker, Ryker, and Memphis. She also leaves behind her brother, David MacPherson (Nicky), nieces, a nephew as well as many extended family members and dear friends whose lives she touched deeply.
A Public Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8, at 2:00 PM at Heartland Funeral Home, Olds, Alberta. A Celebration of Life will follow on Sunday, August 17, at 2:00 PM at Hainstock Community Hall, Olds, Alberta.
