Town of Sylvan Lake asks for public feedback on Solid Waste Master Plan

The Town of Sylvan Lake is giving residents an opportunity to provide feedback next week on its Solid Waste Master Plan.

On July 31 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the NexSource Centre, residents can attend an open house on the plan, which outlines the town’s solid waste management goals.

Sylvan Lakers are also welcome to take an online survey until it closes on Aug. 15 at 5 p.m.

The Solid Waste Master Plan will help council makes decisions including how often garbage and recycling is picked up.

The town says it also helps council plan for future population growth and how to manage the logistics of waste management in the most cost-effective way possible.
