It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Gail (Pinky) Molyneux announce her passing on July 15, 2025 at the age of 70 years. She will be missed greatly.
Pinky is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Allie, they were married July 26, 1975, and best friends for 52 years; daughter Krista (Shane Upton); grandson Brayden and Ty; son Casey (Lisa); granddaughters Gracie and Lilyanna; sisters Rhonda (Darryl) Derouin, Judy (Ron) Petersen, Susan (Ken) Sloan; brother Alan Pinkham; sisters-in-law Dale, Kim, and Randy Clark, Jackie, Joanne, Terry, Debbie; brother-in-law Gordon and numerous nephews; nieces; other family members and friends.
One of Pinky’s favourite pastimes was playing golf with Allie so she could spend more time with him. Golfing with her nephew made her laugh when he called her “Straight Ahead Fred.” Pinky was an awesome golfer and loved to try and out score Allie.
Pinky truly enjoyed her 33-year career at the RCMP office. Her top priority was her family, she took time off to raise Krista and Casey. She definitely was feisty with the staff to keep them on their toes. A highlight was being selected by the Sargeant to go work the G8 Summit. Pinky immensely enjoyed this experience.
Pinky did all the Grammie things: cooking, baking, canning, pickling, preserving, gardening, yard work, you name it, she did it all. Pinky dearly loved her grandchildren (Brayden, Ty, Gracie, Lilyanna), watching them grow, helping them succeed in life was a top priority on her list. Pinky had a passion for sewing and would fix numerous family, friends, and co-workers clothing and teddy bears. She loved to read, and puzzles were her favorite pastimes. Pinky would never hesitate to help anyone with anything if she could and would go the extra mile. She will be very deeply missed by her family and friends.
As per Pinky’s request, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Drumheller Health Foundation Cancer Unit, 403-820-7860 info@drumhellerhealthfoundation.com.
