JEFFORD, Elsie
1942 – 2025
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mrs. Elsie Elizabeth Jefford at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at the age of 83 years. Elsie was born on January 29, 1942 at Hudson Bay, Ontario. Elsie was born to be a ‘mom’. She raised four beautiful children and all of the children in the neighborhood. Everyone called her mom or momma, and she loved every moment of it. Elsie was a force of nature. She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Elsie will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Danny Atkinson of Edmonton, Alberta, Richard Atkinson of Red Deer, Alberta and Chris Atkinson (Stephanie) of Edmonton, Alberta; her grandchildren, Alison Atkinson, Lindsay Atkinson, Melissa (Jamie) Hamilton and Lane Derksen all of Red Deer, Alberta and Kylie Atkinson of Stettler, Alberta; her seven great grandchildren and numerous family members and dear friends. Elsie was predeceased by her husband, Bob Jefford and her daughter, Jessamy Elizabeth in 1998. A Celebration of Elsie’s Life will be held at a later date. If desired, Memorial Donations in Elsie’s honor may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society at www.cancer.ca. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
