It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Kathleen “Kay” Cormack on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the age of 101.
Kay was born in St. Paul, Alberta on March 3, 1924. She spent her childhood in St. Paul, Edmonton, and Rocky Mountain House. She served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in the Second World War and continued working as a secretary for several years. Kay married Rennie and spent her life with him; in Germany, their ranch near Westerose, and Edmonton. After Rennie’s death she moved to Olds, Alberta to be closer to her brother Ted and his family. She enjoyed socializing, sports, animals and country western music. She had many friends and relatives and liked long conversations with everyone.
She is lovingly remembered by her stepson, Brent Cormack; nieces and nephews, Laurie (Wally), Roxane (Wes), Ted (Jennifer), John (Kelly), Bill (Chris), Bob (Julie) and Don (Catherine); along with many great and great-great nieces and nephews and step grandchildren and great step grandchildren. Kay was predeceased by her husband, Rennie; parents, Edward and Margaret Edwards; her siblings and their spouses, Doreen Edwards, Peggy (Jack) Robins, June (Bud) Seager, Ted (Mary) Edwards and stepchildren Marilyn (Lyn) and Dale Cormack and step grandson, Jackson Cormack.
