GenNext, an affinity group of United Way Central Alberta, has announced that nominations are now open for Central Alberta’s 40 Under 40 – Class of 2025.

Organizers explain, the initiative celebrates the talent and leadership of young professionals who are making a meaningful difference in their communities across the region. Now in its second year, 40 Under 40 highlights 40 outstanding individuals under the age of 40 who are making a significant impact through business, volunteerism, advocacy, innovation, and more.

Nominations are open until Sunday, Aug. 10, 2025, at midnight.

“The response to last year’s launch was incredible, and the continued interest from our community has shown just how valuable this platform is,” said Alexandria King, GenNext Co-Chair. “We’re proud to bring Central Alberta’s 40 Under 40 back for 2025 and celebrate the outstanding individuals shaping our region’s future.”

The nomination process is peer-based, note program organizers, simple, and designed to gather the essential information GenNext’s selection committee needs. Once nominations close, officials say the committee will begin a thoughtful review of all submissions, with the final list of 2025 honourees to be announced later this fall.

“If you know someone whose dedication and achievements deserve recognition, nominate them today,” said King.
