A man from Red Deer has died after a two-vehicle collision in east-central Alberta Wednesday afternoon.
RCMP responded around 1:30 p.m. to Highway 12, just west of Castor — about 60 km east of Stettler and 140 km east of Red Deer.
Initial findings suggest a truck driving eastbound on Hwy 12 veered into oncoming traffic and collided with an SUV.
The 79-year-old male driver of the SUV, who was from Red Deer, was declared deceased on scene.
