In Loving Memory of Del Fontaine

April 13, 1964 – June 5, 2025

Del was a man who had to keep busy—so much so, he’d often sneak in a round of golf on his lunch break. Always ready to lend a hand, Del never hesitated to drop what he was doing if someone needed help. He had a heart for others and a knack for showing up when it mattered.

In his downtime, you’d find him on the golf course, watching hockey, or tinkering in the garage with a coffee in hand and a project on the go. Del was steady, generous, and full of quiet humor. He lived simply, loved deeply, and will be missed by all who knew him.

Del was predeceased by his beloved sons, Stephon and Dylan, and his father, Merlyn.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Gail; his mother, Gladys; and his sisters, JoAnne and Myrna. His loss is also felt by a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends who were lucky to know him.

A service will be held at the CrossRoads Church in Red Deer on Monday, June 16, 2025 @ 1:00 pm.
