Mr. Brent John MacDonald passed away peacefully in his sleep, at his home in Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, May 23, 2025 at the age of 52 years. Brent was born on July 12, 1972, in Sudbury, Ontario, where he grew up playing hockey and enjoying the outdoors. Brent will be fondly remembered by his friends and family for his love of fishing, camping, and having a good time. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of nearly twenty-two years, Melissa (nee Bassett); and his daughters, Leighanne and Kyleigh. He will also be greatly missed by his parents, Howard and Aili (nee Kainola); his sisters, Valerie MacDonald, and Kimberly Lajevardi (Javad); and his brother, Trevor (Angela); as well as his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family. A Celebration of Brent’s Life will take place at a later date. If desired, Memorial Donations in Brent’s honor may be made directly to a charity of the donor’s choice.
