DOUCETTE, Patricia
1945 – 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Patricia ‘Pat’ Edith Doucette (nee McLeod), at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, Red Deer, Alberta, on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at the age of 79 years. Pat was born on March 17, 1945, in England and raised in Bad Heart, Alberta (Teepee Creek Area). Pat absolutely loved to explore the highways every chance she had. She would just jump into her car and go; sometimes a trip would take her twelve hours because she would like to go down all of the back roads exploring nature and checking out new places. She would go to Whitecourt to see Brad, or Smith to see Cordell for a week or so, then she would go visit Terry and Doug, sometimes for a couple weeks. Pat tried to spend quality time with her family when she could but, most of all, Pat had one love and passion that nobody could ever take away from her and that was Bingo. She loved to be at the Bingo Hall and watch her grandkids play sports. Pat will be lovingly remembered by her children, Brad, Cordell, Tina (Axel) Ahner; her nine grandchildren; and her six great grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by her brothers, Malcom (Judy) McLeod, Allen (Wendy) McLeod; her sisters, Terry (Doug) Peterson and Judy Dunbar; as well as numerous family members and dear friends. Pat was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Edith McLeod; her ex-husband, Vic Doucette; her daughter, Gayle Watson and her granddaughter, April Watson. You are invited to a celebration of life for Mrs. Patricia ‘Pat’ Edith Doucette (nee McLeod) on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. The service will be held at the Teepee Creek Community Hall, 33071 AB-674, Teepee Creek, Alberta. If desired, Memorial Donations in Pat’s honor may be made directly to a Charity of donor’s choice. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
