CHOY, Yuet Ngor
1930 – 2025
With tremendous sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother and matriarch, Yuet Ngor Choy on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at the age of 95 years. She passed peacefully in her sleep without any pain. Yuet Ngor was born in March 1930 in Canton, China and immigrated to Red Deer with her first daughter, Laiwan, in April 1964. She had three more children after arriving in Canada. She worked in various positions at the Peacock Inn until her retirement. Yuet Ngor had an eagerness to travel and see new places. She traveled with her children and grandchildren to many cities and countries. Her fondest memories were her two visits back to Hong Kong and China and later to see her dream country of Japan. Yuet Ngor was a loving wife to Gin Choy for sixty-seven years. Yuet Ngor will be fondly remembered by her four children, Laiwan, Luen Fu (Rui Fong), Lee Lai Keng, and Luen Dee (Farida) and her beloved grandchildren, Harrison and Athena. Yuet Ngor was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gin Choy. She is survived by her three sisters in Hong Kong and California and predeceased by her brother. A Funeral Service was held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Interment followed at the Alto Reste Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta.
