1945 – 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lorraine Helena Klepper, who passed away peacefully in Red Deer, Alberta, on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at the age of 79 years. Lorraine was born on June 12, 1945, in Red Deer, Alberta, where she spent her early years growing up on the family farm. It was there that her lifelong passion for animals began. She found great joy in walking through the cows and watching the baby calves grow, simple moments that reflected her gentle and caring spirit. Lorraine dedicated much of her life to Alberta’s Auction and Trucking Industries. She served as Secretary-Treasurer of the Auctioneers Association for an incredible thirty-four years and held the same role with the Alberta Auction Markets for twenty-four years. A skilled bookkeeper and businesswoman, she also owned and operated Klepper Enterprises. Her deep roots in the trucking world began with Parkland Cattle Liners and continued with L.H. Klepper Transport. Lorraine had a true passion for the Trucking Industry. She loved trucks and had immense respect for the hardworking truckers who kept them moving. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Brent Klepper (Roxann) and Vance Klepper (Michele); her grandchildren, Alex, Ty, Cheyenne and Colbey; and her sister, Jean Neigum; along with her extended family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Lorraine’s warmth, strength, and deep compassion for all living things left a lasting mark on those around her. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Bernie Smithman for always taking such wonderful care of our mom, and to the staff at Deer Park Village for their kindness and support.
