Red Deer Public Schools to hold grad ceremonies

It’s that time of year again when graduating high schools will be attending ceremonies, and dancing the night away.

Red Deer Public Schools is sharing when those students will celebrate.

“Graduation is a powerful milestone – not just for our students, but for their families, friends, and school communities,” said Chad Erickson, Superintendent.

“It marks the culmination of years of learning and growth, and the beginning of new possibilities. We are proud of our graduations and we are confident they will continue to achieve great things no matter where life takes them.”

Graduation celebrations for each high school will be as follows:

  • Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School – Thursday, May 22, 2025
    • Two ceremonies at 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre
  • Hunting Hills High School – Friday, May 23, 2025
    • Two ceremonies at 9 a.m and 12:30 p.m. at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre
  • Pines Alternative School Centre and North Cottage – Thursday, June 26, 2025
    • One ceremony at 1 p.m. at Pines Alternative School
  • Gateway Christian – Thursday, June 26, 2025
    • One ceremony at 3:30 p.m. at CrossRoads Church

“On behalf of the board of trustees, I want to extend our congratulations to the Class of 2025,” said Nicole Buchanan, chair.

“This year’s graduates have shown incredible resilience and dedication. As they step into the next chapter of their lives, we are proud of all they have accomplished and we are excited to see the positive impact they will make.”

Lindsay Thurber has 430 grads this year, while there are 400 at Hunting Hills, 35 at Gateway Christian, and 40 at Pines Alternative.
