Mayor’s Senior Social connecting council and the community this June

Start shining your boots, because the Mayor’s Senior Social, Rustic Roots, is offering an afternoon of country music and conversation on June 3.

Formerly known as the Mayor’s Garden Party, Mayor Ken Johnston and City Manager Tara Lodewyk will be there to connect with the community. City council members will also be in attendance to serve up some sweet treats.

Attendees can also enjoy live music by Cole Martin, refreshments and activities like horse racing and line dancing.

The event is free and open to all seniors in the community aged 55 and older. The city requests guests register by May 26, which can be done online via the RSVP button.

Running 2-4:30 p.m. at Westerner Park’s Exhibition Hall, complimentary transportation will be available between Sorensen Station and Westerner Park. Shuttles will depart at 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
