SCHWEITZER, Gregory
1954 – 2025
On Sunday, April 20, 2025, Mr. Gregory ‘Greg’ Schweitzer passed away peacefully, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 71 years. Greg was born in Neudorf, Saskatchewan, where he grew up on the family farm. It was here that he learned the values of hard work, perseverance, and integrity – principles that shaped the rest of his life. Early in his life, Greg had success working as a Harness Racer for Frank Neibergall. He later made his home in Red Deer, Alberta, where he spent many years working in the Printing Industry as a dedicated salesman for Skytone Printing and The Printing Place. Greg had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He found joy in quadding with Ryan, camping with Judy, working on projects for Carrie, and taking pride in having the best lawn on the block. His sense of humor and quiet strength will be deeply missed. Greg will be lovingly remembered by his children, Carrie (Steve) and Ryan, and by his granddaughters, Faith and Hannah. He will also be sadly missed by his brother, Kelly (Karen) and their children, Justin, Lindsay and Dallas (Meagan), his sisters, Patti (Al) and their children, Danny and Nikki, and Lori (Trent) and their daughter, Alyssa. Greg was predeceased by his beloved wife, Judy, and his parents, Harry and Irene Schweitzer.
