Charges laid after weekend police presence in north Red Deer
Charges have been laid after a series of alleged crimes which caused a heavy police presence in north Red Deer over the weekend.
It was around 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 1 when police advised they were searching for a suspect in the Kentwood area.
About four hours later, RCMP advised the incident was over.
On Monday, police said they had initially responded to a report of an unknown male who’d allegedly entered the backyard of a home in Oriole Park, and stole a parked vehicle. The man was identified, and tracked to Kentwood, but could not be located, which is when the police presence ended.
