On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, just as the sun set, Marguerite Pauline (Marg) Cook left us on wings and a prayer to join the angels.

Born on January 19, 1927, in Castor Alberta to William and Marcella Shipton. Marg married Russell (Kay) Cook on October 14, 1945. They had four children, Shelia, Diane, Bruce and Bob, 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. William, Marcella, Kay, Shelia, Larry and Micheal were all waiting for her when she arrived in heaven.

Marg spent most of her adult life in the Bergen and Sundre area. Her and Kay owned and operated the Bergen General Store for over 25 years. During her long and fulfilling life, her love and warmth enriched her home, family and community. She embraced life with open arms and a joyful heart. Despite her severe and lengthy battle with dementia she continued to enrich the lives of others. Her passion for life kept her battling much longer than she needed to suffer.

She is remembered, missed and loved by so many but has truly earned the eternal peace and happiness she now enjoys.

In keeping with Marg’s wishes a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
