It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Ms. Josephine ‘Joy’ Lawrence of Red Deer, Alberta, following a brief illness, at Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the age of 87 years. Joy was born in Teulon, Manitoba, on July 12, 1937. She began her career at the Bank of Montreal at a young age and worked there until her retirement, at the age of 60. Throughout her career, she lived and worked in various communities across Saskatchewan and Alberta. For the last thirty years, Red Deer has been her home, where she formed lasting friendships and cherished her neighbors. Joy will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Sarah (Harry) Sanduliak; her nephew, Barry (Anita) Sanduliak; and her nieces, Sherry Hannah and Lisa Peterson; as well as her many great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her dear mother, Ruth, her brother, Jack, and several other family members. A Private Interment will be held at a later date.
