Peggy Lee Helen Quirk (Rivard) was called home to be with her heavenly Father on Monday, January 20, 2025, at the age of 67 years. Surrounded by her three daughters, she was ushered peacefully from mortal hands to the loving arms of Jesus Christ while listening to prayers, songs, and bible passages. Peggy was born in Calgary, Alberta but grew up in Innisfail, Alberta before making Medicine Hat, Alberta her home for decades and finally returning full circle to Innisfail. She most enjoyed family time, gardening, country music, conspiracy theories, and collecting beautiful trinkets and antiques. Peggy was blessed with the heart of a servant, a vibrant sense of humor, and the fighting drive of a warrior. You could often find her collecting special items to bless others with, whether it be socks for the homeless or toys for her grandchildren. She loved to share her blessings with those around her. Peggy was no stranger to hard work, continuing past her retirement. She was a driven student, making the Deans Honor Roll upon her triumphant return to adult education at Lloydminster College. Peggy was also recognized and awarded for her life saving efforts at an oil and gas refinery in Fort MacMurray, Alberta when she was responsible for the safe rescue of fellow employees following a gas leak. Mom, your heart was soft, your humor was necessary, and you’ve been a fighter all your life. We thank God for your influence and wisdom, leaving a legacy of honoring God through family that has brought more joy than you will ever know, and teaching us how to love like Jesus. We look forward with peace in our hearts knowing you are with our Saviour and we will be together again! Peggy is lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Kristin (Martijn) Thijssen, Chandra Muszko, and Ashley Muszko-Mayo and her six grandchildren, Mason, Brynne, and Ryan Thijssen, Julia, Isabelle, and Abigail (Muszko) Mayo. She will be deeply missed by her four siblings, Louanne (Jeffery) Baier, Louvin, Daniel, and Janet Rivard.
