It is with immense sadness, the Bellerose family regrets to inform of the sudden passing of our patriarch, Cedric Bellerose on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at the age of 86 years. Cedric was born in Thessalon, Ontario on March 22, 1938, to Eaucher and Evelyn Bellerose. As a child, Cedric enjoyed fishing with his family, and it was on the water where many treasured memories were made. Throughout his adult life, Cedric pursued his passion for restoring older stock cars and trucks. He and with the help of family and friends rebuilt his Ford Coup, and this led to several additional purchases of Chevy’s, Fords, and Chryslers. Cedric spent endless hours on these vehicles and found happiness and peace in restoring the magic these vehicles once possessed. He made a career as an Ironworker, and he worked on several buildings in Edmonton, Alberta as well as the Lions Gate Bridge in Vancouver. Unfortunately, in 1992, a hand injury ended his pursuit of this trade. Cedric remained a proud member of the Ironworkers Local 720 for fifty-two years. He was a proud and independent man who valued privacy. Cedric was extremely kind and loving to those close to him, and his sense of humour will forever be recalled as “unique and spicy”. The Bellerose family remain deeply grateful for the last gift Cedric bestowed upon them, in being present to celebrate Christmas Day of 2024 with them. Special memories were made and Cedric enjoyed the day with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Cindy (Jeff) Bellerose, Shelly (Agostin) Nika, his granddaughters, Lisa-Marie Kendall (Ryan), Kimberly-Ann (Chase) Bellerose, Kamryn Mathie, Ilirianna Nika, and Jamie Bellerose as well as five great grandchildren. Cedric is also deeply missed by his brother, Edward ‘Neddy’ (Marge) Bellerose, his sister, Sylvia Bellerose, numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. He was predeceased by his son, Michael Bellerose, his parents, Eaucher and Evelyn Bellerose, his siblings, William Bellerose, Vernon Bellerose and Veronica ‘Ronnie’ Bellerose. The family would like to extend a special debt of gratitude to Janette Burgess and to her daughters Tanya and Jennifer, for the love and companionship they bestowed on Cedric for over thirty-six years. Psalms 23 “The Lord is my Shepard; I have all that I need; He leads me to rest in Green Meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams”. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
