Jan 8, 2025 | 1:33 PM

Families interested in learning more about the community agencies in Red Deer and how they support students are invited to attend Red Deer Public Schools (RDPS) City Wide School Council’s Agency Fair.

The drop-in event takes place on Jan. 14 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Red Deer Public Schools Central Office (4747 53 Street).

Families will have the opportunity to meet representatives from various organizations, learn about their programs and services and explore how they contribute to student well-being and education.

“We are proud and grateful to partner with so many incredible organizations that play a key role in supporting the success and well-being of our students and families,” says Chad Erickson, superintendent.

Participating agencies include, but are not limited to:

  • Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre
  • Red Deer Food Bank Society
  • Alberta School Council Association
  • Family Services of Central Alberta
  • CASA Mental Health
  • United Way Central Alberta
  • Red Deer RCMP Youth and Community Action Team

“We encourage all families to attend this wonderful learning opportunity,” says Shelley Odishaw, chair of the City Wide School Council. “It’s a great way to build connections, discover valuable resources, and see how our community supports education and student well-being. We look forward to seeing you there!”
