It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher Yousph of Innisfail, Alberta at the Innisfail Health Centre on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the age of 64 years. Chris was born in Three Hills, Alberta, weighing just three pounds, 11 ounces to Tom and Edna Yousph on December 23, 2024. He was an early Christmas present and the oldest of twins. Chris grew up in Innisfail, Alberta. He loved visiting with family and friends over a Tim Horton’s coffee of a fast game of crib. Chris enjoyed shopping at the Dollar Store, going to the Innisfail Auction Mart, skating, Terry Fox Runs, playing pool, power skating and skating with the Innisfail Eagles and cheering them on! He could also be found visiting the arena or taking in a Innisfail Minor Hockey game. Chris was also involved in the Dean Turnquist three on three Fever Road Hockey Tournament, and he looked forward to playing each year. There was only one team worthy of the Stanley Cup and that was his beloved, Boston Bruins. He excelled in the Special Olympics Floor Hockey and went to Europe to represent his team. Chris’s hockey card collection was another way he showed his love for the game. Not only did Chris have a love for sports but he also loved Rodeos, in Innisfail, Caroline, the Ponoka Stampede and the Calgary Stampede. It didn’t matter where there was a Rodeo, he was for sure there. He had many different jobs, he worked on a pig farm in Bentley, Alberta, the Kemps Dairy Farm, Lacome Restaurant, Leto’s Restaurant, a petting zoo and collecting bottles from many friends and local businesses. Chris is lovingly remembered by his sisters, Sharon McBride of Olds, Alberta, Dianna Yousph of Innisfail, Alberta, Holly Anderson of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta and Cindy Berg-Metzger of Blackfalds, Alberta. He will also be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews, Travis (Leslie), Marci (Andrew), Mandy, Kevin (Tina), Dallas, John (Bhey), Nicole, Randy and Brandon as well as Jude, Vaughn, Beck, Koen, Brian, Thomas, Elia and Elyk. Chris had a special place in his heart for all his nieces and nephews. Your P.R.O.S. family will deeply cherish your memory and always smile, sharing your stories and memories. Chris loved his community and made sure he was a part of anything he could be. Thank you, Innisfail, for embracing Chris and all that he was, He will be dearly missed by all that were lucky enough to know him. Chris, you lived every day to the fullest, your laugh and Christmas cheer will never be forgotten and your love for living for each day is something that you have taught us all.
