It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Mr. Robert ‘Bob’ John Anderson, surrounded by his loving family, and his beloved wife of sixty-three years at his side, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at the age of 86 years. Bob was born and raised on the family farm in Strathclair, Manitoba. He joined the RCMP in 1957, and proudly served in many locations in the Yukon, NWT and Alberta, until his retirement in 1988. Bob went on to work at the Alberta Hail and Crop, until his final retirement in 2000. Bob and Lois enjoyed traveling the world, making lifelong friends along the way. Their winters were spent in Yuma, Arizona, where the sunshine and warmth kept them active in golf and happy hours. Bob was a man of immense wisdom, and he cherished every moment with his loved ones. Bob will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Lois; his daughter, Donna-Lynn (Arthur) Guynup; his son, Robert (Jennifer); and his daughter, Cari; his grandchildren, Kayla, Jesse, Brayden, Zachary, Tyler, Katlyn, Jenifer and Shawna; and his great grandchildren, Owen, Berkley, Layton and Jacob. Bob was predeceased by his daughter, Lisa, his parents, George and Alexina, his brother, George, and his sister, Beverly. A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
