Alysa Marie DuMontier (July 10, 1970 – December 3, 2024)
Alysa passed away peacefully from a 13-year battle with cancer on December 3, 2024, at the Red Deer Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her mother, Rita; her daughters, Anna (Kurtis), Christina, and Sarah; her dearest long-term friend, Stefan; her brother, David (Michelle); nephew and niece, William and Quinn; as well as her aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends who cherished her warmth and vibrant spirit.
Alysa’s love for life was evident in everything she did. She had a passion for singing, her beautiful voice bringing joy to all who heard it. She was also a gifted poet, writing hundreds of poems, with several featured in local newspapers. An artist at heart, Alysa had a childlike wonder and a creative soul that inspired everyone around her. She treasured time spent with family and friends, finding joy in meaningful conversations. Alysa had a compassionate and generous spirit, and nothing brought her more joy than to share what she had with others in need.
Alysa’s life was guided by her deep faith, and after many years of speaking about heaven with peace and certainty, she has now gone to experience it.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Alysa’s life will be held on Friday, December 20, at 1:00 p.m. at the Red Deer Funeral Home, 6150 67 Street, Red Deer, AB.
