Marilyn Razote Iliscupidez of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away after a long and courageous battle against cancer. She died on Monday, November 25, 2024 at the age of 59 years old. Marilyn was born on March 20, 1965, to her father, Saturnino Razote and her mother, Paz Razote in Alaminos City, Pangasinan, Philippines. Marilyn has four sisters, Marilou (Rico) Tugade, Corazon (Al) De Guzman, Marissa (Edwin) Tiangson, and Olga (Jian) Untalan. Marilyn completed her schooling in the Philippines. After finishing High School, she completed a Midwifery program at Great Plebian College. In 1986, Marilyn met Henry Iliscupidez at Luzon Medical Hospital. Marilyn and Henry got married in 1988 and went on to have two children, Hazel (Mike) Ramos, and Marc (Kamille) Iliscupidez. Marilyn has four beloved grandchildren, Kaleb Iliscupidez, Tristan Ramos, Carter Ramos, and Mikah Iliscupidez. Marilyn was predeceased by her mother, Paz Razote. Marilyn will always be remembered by loved ones for her kindness, compassion, and her self-sacrificing nature. She loved to express her love to others through her cooking. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Public Viewings honoring Marilyn were held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, December 6, Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass was celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4816 – 55 Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Monday December 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Interment was held at the Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 5450 – 67 Street, Red Deer, Alberta.
