It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Basil Allen Durrant at the Hamlets of Red Deer, on Monday, November 25, 2024 at the age of 83 years. He was born in Eastend, Saskatchewan on March 16, 1941. Basil will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Nola (Brian) Idland, his son, Jason (Ce-Lynne) Durrant, his grandchildren, Kari (Brad), Karsten (Natasha), Curtis (Courtney), Kelsey (Shaun), Jake (Jessa) and his eight great grandchildren. He will be also dearly missed by his sister, Margaret McPhee of Innisfail, Alberta. Basil was predeceased by his father, Robert Durrant, his mother, Dorothy Durrant (nee Lacey), his brother, Darryl Durrant and his sister, Gwen Basso. Family and friends celebrated Basil’s Life at the Living Stones Church, Fellowship Hall, 2020 – 40 Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 1:00 p.m., with a reception that followed.
